Renowned Leitrim Singer to Feature on BBC/TG4 Documentary, ‘Port’
Port is a landmark award winning music series – part music documentary; part travelogue; It returned for a third series on Sunday last and continues to chart the musical landscapes of Ireland and Scotland.
This Sunday’s (May 6th) episode was filmed in Sligo and features the esteemed Leitrim singer academic Mary McPartlann, along with Scottish singers Linda McLeod, Glenuig piper Angus McDonald and young Sligo singer Niamh Farrell.
Mary will sing a bout Drumkeeran with Scottish singer Julie Fowlis.
Ahead of the broadcast Mary spoke to Pauric on Ocean Drive about her career and the show: “Port” will air on TG4 Sunday May 6th at 9.30pm
