Protesters from region at Brexit protest in Dublin this morning



Protesters from Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal will be among those outside government buildings in Dublin this morning demanding special status for the North in the coming Brexit negotiations.

It’s being organised by Border Communities Against Brexit and will start at 9am, in Merrion Street Upper.

The campaigners are also calling for the Irish government to be granted a veto on any deal the British government gets with the EU if the North does not get special status.

One of those involved in this morning’s protest is J J O Hara who runs a tourism business, Castle View B&B, close to Parkes Castle overlooking Lough Gill, near the Sligo/Leitrim border.
