TD Marc MacSharry calls on government to establish Passport Offices in Tubbercurry

Sligo Fianna Fail TD Marc MacSharry has called on the Government to establish a Regional Passport Office in Tubbercurry.

Deputy MacSharry says that passport delays are further exasperated by Brexit with the number of people expected to apply for an Irish passport to hit 1 million this year.

There are only two passport offices in Ireland, one in Dublin with the other in Cork. Mr MacSharry says that there is a ‘justifable national case’ for an additional office and the North West is an obvious location.

Deputy MacSharry says that the North West was an ideal location with Tubbercurry being the ideal location within the region.
