Tributes being paid to Ireland’s longest serving Councillor, Sean McEniff

Tributes have been paid to Irelands longest serving Councillor, Donegal County Councillor Sean McEniff, who passed away yesterday in hospital in dublin.

Since 1967, he has served as a Fianna Fail Councillor and was re-elected at every council election since then.

Fianna Fail leader, Micheál Martin, extended his sympathies to the McEniff family and added that “Seán was a proud Donegal man and played an integral role in the promotion and development of business and tourism in the county and the North West region.”

Fianna Fail TD for Sligo, Leitrim, South Donegal & West Cavan, Marc Mac Sharry, told Ocean FM News that his contribution to the North West has been immense
