Injury-hit Harps host Drogheda United tonight

Finn Harps will attempt to record a second home win of the season tonight when Ollie Horgan’s side takes on Drogheda Utd in Ballybofey (kick-off 8.00). Harps will also be looking to make it back-to-back victories after that history making first ever away win over Derry City at Maginn Park last Friday.

Drogheda is an unpredictable outfit who are two places behind Horgan’s men in the Premier Divison table but they still have recorded significant wins including the defeat of Shamrock Rovers. Harps will be hoping Pete Mahon’s side doesn’t produce their ‘A’ game at Finn Park with so many of the players from the host club missing due to injury.

But, Horgan is keen to point out that it is a big opportunity for those players who have had little game time so far this season to now impress enough to nail now a regular place in the first eleven.

Drogheda are looking for their second away win of the season and will fancy their chances due to the opposition’s injury woes. Harps are two points ahead of tonight’s visitors and will be aiming to extend that advantage out to ten by the time the final whistle is blown in Ballybofey.

Note tickets will be on sale from the porch of Barca Bar (this replaces the previous outlet beside Yummy).  As usual, tickets are available in advance from: Michael Murphy Sports, Letterkenny, Balor Theatre, Ballybofey, Kernans, Newtown, The Coachhouse, Donegal Town, McCauley’s Restaurant, Lifford, Macs Newsagents, Buncrana.
