IBEC says region suffers from ‘years of lack of investment’

IBEC says the North West has had a ‘legacy of years of lack of investment in the region’.

It comes as the business group’s organisation submits its proposal to the government as part of the ongoing consultaion on the National Planning Framework.

The framework succeeds the National Spatial Strategy, with a focus on economic development and investment in housing, water services, transport, communications, energy, health and education infrastructure.

Aidan Sweeney, Senior Executive Government, Enterprise and Regulatory Affairs with IBEC, tells Ocean FM News that the North West region has the poorest access to a state airport or port.
