Leitrim councillors unite in calling for Kinlough care centre be kept open

North Leitrim councillors have unanimously agreed to call on Health Minister Simon Harris to ensure the primary care centre in Kinlough is kept open.

At a Manorhamilton Municipal District meeting of the council, Fianna Fail Councillor Justin Warnock also called for the Kinlough centre to be taken out of the Donegal HSE area and included as a standalone centre in Sligo/Leitrim.

In addition, he’s looking for an improvement in other services, including a full GP service in the area.

At present the GP service is only available for a couple of hours in the week which, Cllr Warnock, said is not adequate.
