Rovers interim manager pays tribute to departed boss after Bohs win

Sligo Rovers interim boss Declan McIntyre says that Saturday’s 2-0 defeat of Bohemians was a tribute to departed boss Dave Robertson.

The Donegal man said himself and the players were disappointed by the decision of the club to part ways with Robertson after less than 18 months in charge.

Saturday’s win was secured by first goals for the club for Jonah Ayunga and Michael Leahy.

And McIntyre says the credit for the win goes to Robertson.

He spoke to Ocean FM’s Darragh Cox

Goalscorer Leahy was delighted to get his first goal for Rovers…

Bohs boss Keith Long felt his side should have got something from the game.

It was a great weekend all round for the Bit O’ Red with both the U19 and U17 sides scoring five goals each in victories over Cavan-Monaghan.
