Dail: Tubbercurry Garda Station ‘not a legislative issue’



Tubbercurry Garda Station is not fit to meet the modern day requirements of one of the busiest stations in the Sligo Leitrim division.

That’s according to Fianna Fail TD Eamon Scanlon who brought the issue to the attention of the Taoiseach during questions on legislation yesterday in Leinster House.

Deputy Scanlon said there is a commitment to investing and upgrading garda stations in the Programme for government and Tubbercurry should be included.

After Sligo and Carrick-on-Shannon, he claims Tubbercurry is one of the next busiest stations in the Sligo Leitrim division and he says in light of increasing Garda numbers the station should be upgraded.
