Boyle Celtic and Carbury paired together in Connacht Cup quarter-finals

The draws for the quarter-finals of this year’s Connacht Cup and Connacht Shield were made last night in Claremorris.

The tie of the round in the Connacht Cup is undoubtedly the meeting of two Sligo-Leitrim Super League teams, as reigning champions Boyle Celtic will host current leaders Carbury.

Manor Rangers will journey to Ballinasloe Town for their last eight tie.

The other ties see West United host Loughrea Rams and Corrib Rangers at home to St Bernard’s.

In the Connacht Shield, Merville United are the only team from the Sligo-Leitrim League remaining and they must travel to Kiltimagh-Knock United for their quarter-final.

All of those games will take place at 2pm on Easter Sunday.

This weekend Boyle Celtic take on Kilkenny side Evergreen in the FAI Junior Cup semi-finals at the Showgrounds at 3pm.

Darren Hurd’s side also host Calry Bohs in a Yeats Cup first round tie next Wednesday as their battle for trophies on four fronts continues.

Carbury will face Yeats United in a Yeats Cup semi-final on the same night.
