Funding announced for piers in the region



Rosses Point Pier and Raghly Pier in county Sligo have been approved for funding.

€138,000 has been approved for the two projects.

The two projects are part of a national announcement by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed under the 2017 Fishery Harbour and Coastal Infrastructure Development Programme.

It also includes an allocation of €291,000 for 5 Donegal piers including €18,000 for Bruckless pier.

In Sligo, €111,000 of it will go to the pier at Rosses Point while the rest will go towards work at Raghly.
