Disruption to traffic on the Sligo to Keadue road near Geevagh in East Sligo is expected to come to an end in the next half hour.
It follows an collision between a lorry and a telegraph pole near Ballinakill.
Sligo County Council, the Gardai and Eircom personnel are at present at the scene where the pole is being removed.
The road is not closed but motorists are being urged to drive with caution in the area and follow instructions.
