Service on Sligo/Dublin rail line hit by Bus Eireann dispute this morning

Service on the Sligo/Dublin rail line has been hit by industrial action this morning.

Tens of thousands of public transport passengers have been left stranded throughout the country as the Bus Éireann strike has spread to Irish Rail and Dublin Bus.

Pickets by workers from all three CIE firms are now taking place at depots around the country.

Staff are demonstrating solidarity with their Bus Éireann colleagues whose all-out strike over cuts has entered its eight day.
