Late North Sligo woman was Ireland’s oldest



The death has occurred of Ireland’s oldest woman, Elizabeth Gallagher, of Gortnahowla, Ballintrillick, in North Sligo.

She was in her 109th year.

She lived on her own until recently.

Her funeral mass takes place tomorrow morning at 11am in St Brigid’s Church, Ballintrillick, with burial afterwards in Keelogues Cemetery.

Her daughter in law is Brigid Gallagher.
