An Agri-Careers Fair this week reveals a number of companies including co-ops like Aurivo and Arrabawn as well as IFAC have positions available to people.
This event by the Irish Farmers Journal and open eir, is free and takes place in the Main Hall of the RDS, Dublin 4 on Thursday.
One in eight jobs are supported by the agri-industry.
Mary Phelan of the Irish Farmers Journal says that they are hoping that Brexit will not impact the numbers of jobs on offer at this fair in the coming years.
But she says for now apart from the mushroom industry they are not seeing the impact of brexit on jobs as many positions remain on offer withing the industry:
