A Donegal county councillor has called for old World War Two look-out posts dotted around the coast to be restored and promoted as part of our historic past.
Independent Councillor Niamh Kennedy made the suggestion at this week’s municipal district meeting of the council in Donegal Town.
She says that in many cases the look-out posts are now covered with sand due to coastal erosion.
She says they are part of history that’s on our beaches that could also help promote tourism.
