The body of a man was found in Carrick on Shannon yesterday evening.
Gardai have not yet confirmed if it is that 30-year old Declan Whyte who has been missing for the last four weeks and who was last seen in the town.
The body was found following an intensive search of the Carrick-on-Shannon area by gardai and members of the army.
