Summerhill College were out of luck in this afternoon’s Connacht Senior Cup final at the Sportsground in Galway.
The Sligo side lost out by 13 points to seven to Colaiste Iognaid of Galway in the decider.
The ‘Jes’ were 10-0 up at half-time, despite an even opening half.
They added three more points midway through the second half, before Summerhill claimed a late converted try.
It is Galway school’s 13th Connacht Senior Cup title, and it is a second final defeat in three years for Summerhill.
