Calls for clarification on plans for Ballisodare ‘eyesore’



A Sligo councillor is calling on the new owners of a large, multistorey unfinished apartment block in Ballisodare, Co Sligo, to say what their plans are for the building.

The Avena Mills apartment complex, located on the bank of the Owenmore River, has been the subject of complaints about antisocial bnehaviour.

Sligo County Council says it believes that a company called Ravensilver Limited is now the owner of the apartment building.

The council says it has written to Ravensilver a number of times, the last having been on the 22nd February asking for its proposals for completing the development.

However, the council has not received a reply.
