Road at Rossnowlagh to remain closed for weeks following landslide

Donegal County Council says the local road at Rossnowlagh will be closed for a number of weeks following a landslide over the weekend.

It happened on the R231 at Rossnowlagh Upper which connects the two access roads to the beach.

Motorists are being diverted down by the Sandhouse Hotel and back up on the other side.

It’s understood work had been ongoing on that road over the past number of weeks.

The Council has confirmed today that work to repair the road is due to start shortly but that it will remain closed for a number of weeks as a result of the landslide.
