Gardai launched an appeal for information on tracing the whereabouts of Mr. McGowan over the weekend.

Mr. McGowan is described as 5ft 8 with brown hair, a short brown/reddish beard and he wears glasses on occasion.

Gardai say he was wearing dark clothing when last seen and also a white shoulder bag which they hope may jog people’s memories.

They are now making a special appeal for farmers and landowners in the area from Drumcliffe to Ballintrillick to check their outhouses and sheds in a renewed effort to find him.

He is also known to frequent Dublin and Kildare.

Kenneth’s family and Gardai are concerned for his welfare and anyone with information is asked to contact Gardai at Sligo Garda Station on 071 9157000, Grange Garda Station at 071 9163144, the Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
