Our club and county senior football captain Neil Ewing was on the scoresheet last Sunday as Sligo produced a spirited second-half display to beat Laois in Division 3 and collect two more precious league points.
We are pleased to confirm Seán Reynolds as Club Secretary for 2017. His email address is secretary.drumclifferossespoint.sligo@gaa.ie for any correspondence.
Two of our versatile club footballers Ross Hickey and Hugh Kisby help Summerhill College reach the final of rugby’s Connacht Senior Schools Cup thanks to a memorable 10-9 win over Garbally College. Ross scored the game’s only try, while Hugh played his part at full-back. We wish the lads every success in the final at the Galway Sportsgrounds on March 15th. Another club member Ronan McCormack was part of the Summerhill senior soccer squad who narrowly lost their Connacht cup final last week.
