Trolley numbers in the North West have been reduced dramatically today.

Irish Nurses and Midwives Figures show there are just seven people waiting to be admitted to hospitals in Donegal and Sligo.

All seven are on trolleys in the overflow area of wards in Letterkenny University Hospital.

For the second day in a row there is nobody waiting for a bed at Sligo Hospital.

Nationally there are 325 people waiting on trolleys according to today’s INMO trolley watch report.

University Hospital Limerick and Cork University Hospital are the worst effected with 35 patients on trolleys in each.
