New York based Ballyshannon native is Donegal Man of the Year

A Ballyshannon native who has been in New York for the past 28 years and who owns four bars in the city has been selected at the 2017 Donegal Man of the Year.

Joseph Donagher will be presented with his award at the Donegal Association of New York annual dinner dance on March 5th.

The four pubs he owns in the Big Apple are Rattle and Hum East, Rattle and Hum West, Beer Authority and The Dog House.

He says his grandfather and his parents trained him well in the pub business.

Speaking to Ocean FM News from New York, he says he was dumbfounded to be chosen by the Donegal Association for the honour.
