Bonus point win for Sligo RFC in Cork

Sligo secured a hugely impressive bonus point victory in Cork on Saturday afternoon, 33 points to 13.

The in-form Yeats men scored early tries through Conor Kerins and Conor Mitchell, both of which were converted as Sligo led 14-10 at the break.

The second half was all Sligo, as Michael Wells went over for try number three, and Callum Goddard got the crucial fourth to secure a bonus point.

Recent Connacht Eagles debutant Shane O’Hehir rounded off a massive win for Ross Mannion’s side with the fifth try in the closing stages.

Next up for Sligo is a home game against Boyne next Saturday at 2.30pm in Hamilton Park, Strandhill – a game you will be able to hear live on Ocean FM in association with Raftery & Co Accountants and the Garavogue Bar.
