It’s emerged that the Folk Village and Museum as well as 20 other houses are not being covered by the new sewerage treatment plant in Glencolmcille.
It’s emerged that homes and properties in the greater Dooey area are not being covered by the new scheme.
Glencolmcille was included in a new bundle for new and upgraded treatment plants in the Donegal area last year.
Irish Water is appointing the contractors but Donegal County Council is responsible for outlining the areas to be covered by the scheme.
Fianna Fail TD Pat the Cope Gallagher says there’s no reason for these properties to be left out and he has made contact with Irish Water on the matter:
