There was some Sligo and Leitrim success at Connacht Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships held in Calry on Tuesday.
Keelan Kilrehill from Colaiste Iascaigh claimed gold in the boys Intermediate 5000m event, while Summerhill’s Michael Morgan was second in the Junior 3000m.
Lauren Maguire Reynolds from Carrick-on-Shannon Community School finished third in the Girls Minor 1500m, and Ellie O’Rourke from Ballinamore was second in the Junior event over 2500m.
In the team events, Summerhill were second overall in the Intermediate 5000m and third in the Senior event over 6000m.
And the Ursuline College team won the Minor 1500m title, with St Clare’s from Manorhamilton finishing third.
