A man and a woman are to appear before Ballyshannon District Court next week in connection with an alleged attack on a woman in the town at the weekend.
The two arrested were a man in his mid-50s and a woman in her late 20s.
They have been charged in relation to the incident and are due before the court on February 17th.
It’s understood the 25-year old woman was set upon in the Market Street area early on Sunday morning.
She was taken to Sligo University Hospital with head injuries but these are not thought to be life-threatening.
