A Garda superintendent says he would like to see greater sharing of information among the 17 text alert groups in County Leitrim.
Superintendent Kevin English was speaking at a Leitrim Joint Policing Committee in Carrick on Shannon this week.
He says it makes no sense that a text alert is distributed in one area while other nearby groups are not aware of it.
