A protest in opposition to the ban introduced by President Donald Trump this week will take place in Sligo tomorrow.
The United Against Racism in Sligo group are holding a protest outside the GPO at 1pm.
It’s against the ban affecting 7 mainly Muslim countries that are now banned from entering the US.
The group is also calling for Taoiseach Enda Kenny not to go to the White House on St. Patrick’s Day to give the annual traditional bowl of Shamrock.
Spokesperson for the group, Gary Fallon says while he accepts that this small protest will not influence Trump policy, he says it’s important to take a stand:
