Numbers on trolleys down today



There’s been a fall in the number of patients on trolleys across the country.

Latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there are 517 people waiting on a bed – down from 601 yesterday.

There are still 38 people on trolleys at Letterkenny and Sligo University Hospitals but that is down from over 50 people yesterday.

Galway is one of the worst-affected hospitals today with 37 people on trolleys.
