New free library set up in Grange

Readers in Grange are being given the opportunity to avail of a new free library in the town.

A wee library has been set up inside the gates of the park in the North Sligo town and the public are urged to make use of it and bring along their old books to stock it up.

The idea was implemented by the North Sligo playground group who are based in the town after some members saw other wee libraries set up across Europe.

The library itself was provided by a Donegal company called ‘free wee library’.

Sligo councillor Marie Casserly is chairperson of the group and she explained the philosophy behind the idea.
