Support needed for families of those with physical disability in Donegal

An Independent Donegal TD says everything possible should be done to support families of someone with a physical disability in the county.

It comes after the HSE confirmed to Ocean FM that respite services at Seaview House in Mountcharles should return to seven days a week in the near future.

Currently due to staff shortages and retirements the centre can only offer a 4.5 day a week service for more than 100 families.

Thomas Pringle had raised the issue in the Dail with Minister for Health Simon Harris earlier this month.

He says there has always been a good an reliable service in the respite house.
