Government minister to attend IBYE regional final in Sligo



The regional final of the  Enterprise Ireland Best Young Entrepreneur takes place in Sligo later today

The winners from Donegal, Leitrim, Longford and Sligo will gather in the Glasshouse hotel this evening to find out who will represent the region at the national final in March.

There are three categories in the competition, Best Established Business, Best Business Idea and Best Start up Business.

Donegal will be represented by Brendan Toner from Audit International, Gillian Doyle of Cerebreon Technologies and Rebecca Fluey from Smart Steps.

The Sligo county winners were Ronan O’Loughlin from Lock-On ltd, Carolanne Rushe of Sweet Beat and Heinrich Arnold of Stablelab.

The finalists from Leitrim are Aoife McNiffe of Against the Grain, Lorcan Kearns from Wild Atlantic Crusades and Michelle Fanning of Assorted Fitness.

Three businesses from Longford are also represented in the regional final.

Minister for Small Business Pat Breen will be in attendance at the Glasshouse Hotel today.

Joe Lowe is head of the Leitirm Local Enterprise Office and he told Ocean FM what the finalists can expect from today’s regional final.
