Concern about Trump’s position on emigration, climate change



Transition Sligo says that emigration and Trump’s views on climate change are concerning.

The group was set up four years ago to promote sustainable living in the face of rising energy prices, climate change and economic instability.

They held a vigil at the Famine Memorial in Ballytivnan in Sligo on Saturday.

Sr. Kathleen Glennon represents the group and she says the undocumented Irish remains a huge concern for many people in the North West.

She told Ocean FM News, the Famine memorial was a symbolic place to hold the event and they hope to ensure that America’s open-door and welcoming culture will continue:
