Healy highlights Brexit threat at IFA AGM



 

The Irish Farmers Association says the threat of Brexit to the agricultural sector must be top of the Government’s agenda.

President Joe Healy says politicians in Dublin and Brussels cannot ignore the ongoing impact of the sterling devaluation.

Mr Healy says with 40 percent of food exports going to the UK, no other member state is as exposed in the negotiations.

He says Brexit is the biggest threat to the farming sector in half a century:
