Sligo’s Oisin O’Reilly named in Irish U18 squad

Sligo’s Oisin O’Reilly has been named among a squad of 15 on the Ireland U18 team.

The Drumcliffe youngster has excelled so far this season for the EJ’s Sligo All-Stars in the Men’s Division One, and featured for the club’s U18 team in the recent Haris International Tournament in Manchester over the Christmas period.

O’Reilly also featured for Ireland in that tournament, with the Irish side lifting the trophy outright.

After that tournament, Irish head coach Conor James whittled down his squad to 15 players ahead of a training session in February.

This weekend, the Summerhill College student will be part of the All-Stars team looking to overcome Team Kilkenny in Cork on Saturday to book a place in the Men’s Division One Cup final.

The All-Stars will be without Cian Lally, who is recovering from a broken arm, and Aidan O’Shea, who is away, for the game.
