Fermanagh GAA promoting ‘Obesity Awareness Week’



Obesity Awareness Week starts from January 9th to January 15th and in conjunction with Fermanagh GAA, Health and Wellbeing Officer Damien McHugh we are going to be promoting a different recipe from the GAA healthy recipe book and on Sunday January 15th we will have a stand in Brewster Park before the McKenna Cup game with St Marys University.

The Obesity Prevention Campaign entitled “What’s in 100” highlighting what is in 100 calories trying to get across three key messages –

  1. Stop eating and drinking extra calories
  2. Increase activity
  3. Portion control

The Fermanagh County Football squad are also weighing in behind it and supporting the event fully.
