Doherty calls for tracker mortgage customers to be compensated



t’s emerged that up to 15,000 mortgage customers may have been unfairly removed from their tracker mortgages.

But the Central Bank is not sure whether it can take action against every lender – because its powers might not be retrospective.

Earlier the Oireachtas finance committee was suspended after furious TDs demanded to see full figures of how many households were affected.
