Safety a concern at Rossnowlagh Beach



Safety is an increasingly pressing issue at Rossnowlagh beach in Co. Donegal.

That’s according to the Rossnowlagh Beach committee in a presentation to the Donegal Municipal District councillors today.

With up to 5,000 people living in Rossnowlagh during the summer months the number of people including children walking on the roads in the local area is increasing.

The committee highlighted that there are no footpaths leading to the beach and speed limits are as high as 80kph.

They have asked the council to look at reducing speed limits as well as installing footpaths along busy routes into the village and beach.
