Public meeting to hear implications of potential cuts to expressway services



Remote areas like south and west Donegal would be worst affected by any changes to Bus Eireann Expressway services.

That’s according to Dermot O’Leary of the National Bus and Rail Union speaking ahead of a public meeting on the issue tonight in Tubbercurry and another in Donegal Town on December 19th.

A review of Bus Eireann services is currently taking place.

One of the routes Mr O Leary says is under threat is Route 126 which provides a service from West Donegal down into South Donegal leading to vital links.

He says because that area has no train network it would be worst affected.

Mr. O’Leary says hundreds of other services are under threat including the main Sligo to Dublin route:
