IFA has come a long way since pay scandals says president



One year on from the organisation’s pay scandal, the IFA President says that they have come a long way.

Joe Healy says that ‘a breakdown in structures’ led to the controversy a year ago which forced senior members of the organisation including the director general Pat Smith and then-president Eddie Downey to resign.

Mr. Healy says key recommendations of the Lucey report have been adapted and brought back to grassroots members for approval.

He says the new Director General Damien McDonald will also start his new role in the new year.
