Coillte projects in Sligo and Donegal to get Failte Ireland funding



A mountain bike centre in County Sligo, a forest park in Donegal and facilities for motorhomes at sites along the Wild Atlantic Way are among six projects that will benefit from a total of more than a half-million euro of Failte Ireland funding.

The money will go to Coillte to boost tourism facilities at state forestry sites.

The partnership with Coillte is the latest in a series that Failte Ireland is developing with various state agencies and bodies.

Among the projects in this region to benefit from the latest funding are the Coolaney Mountain Bike Centre in Sligo and the Ards Forest Park in Donegal.

The money is to go toward developing the feasibility and design of the projects.

Significant further funding for the projects is expected to be announced when they have been designed and costed.
