Failte Ireland need to build on Donegal’s Cool List 2017 placing

A Donegal TD has called on Failte Ireland to build on the county’s increasing profile and invest in tourism initiatives.

After the county topped the National Geographic Traveller’s Cool list for 2017 Fianna Fail’s Charlie McConalogue wants to see more done to build Donegal’s profile.

Deputy McConalogue says more and more people are discovering what Donegal has to offer and it’s placing on the magazine’s list confirms this.

He said Tourism is an incredibly important industry here and recognition like the Cool List should not be let pass without an attempt to build on the progress made to date.

Pol Ó Conghaile is a journalist with the National geographic and he says Donegal still has a secret charm.
