Consumers urged to support local business in lead up to Christmas

Consumers in Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim are being urged to shop local ahead of Christmas this year.

‘Small Business Saturday’ takes place this weekend in a drive to support small businesses in the community.

It’s being set up by the Small Firms Association with the hope of injecting up to 70 million euro into small Irish firms.

Linda Barry assistant director of the Association says it wouldn’t take more than 20 euro per consumer to give the area a boost.
