A Sligo/Leitrim TD says women who are suffering abuse or who are in intolerable situations need to know there is help available for them.
Sinn Fein’s Deputy Martin Kenny was speaking after he attended a conference on domestic abuse in Dublin organised by Women’s Aid.
It was part of a 16-day campaign which aims to raise awareness of domestic abuse and violence.
