Man accused of Sligo murder due in court again on Dec. 22nd

The man charged with the murder of 59-year old Martin Kivlehan in Sligo in August 2015 is due to appear before Sligo District Court again on December 22nd next.

Keith Brady, of Cartron Estate, Sligo, was remanded in continuing custody at Harristown District Court, at Castlerea Prison, in County Roscommon, this morning.

It’s expected the Book of Evidence in the case will be served on Brady at the December 22nd court sitting in Sligo.

Twenty-eight year old Brady is currently serving a prison sentence for other offences.

He is represented by barrister Keith O’Grady instructed by Sligo solicitor Edmund Henry.

Brady was charged yesterday in Sligo District Court with the murder of Matt Kevlehan at his home in Holborn Street in August 2015.

The late Mr Kivlehan is believed to have died from stab wounds.

The murder case will be heard in the Central Criminal Court in Dublin but that’s not thought likely until late next year at the earliest.
