St Attracta’s preparing for two Connacht finals

Its been a very impressive two months for St. Attracta’s Community School in Tubbercurry with both the Senior (pictured below) and Junior (pictured above) teams reaching Connacht A league finals. Both teams have gone unbeaten so far this year as the fight for the school’s first ever A title.

The Senior team came through the league campaign with wins over Holy Rosary Mountbellew, St. Colman’s Claremorris and Galway king pins, St. Jarlaths. The faced St. Muredach’s Ballina in the league semi final and prevailed in very impressive fashion to set up a decider against either Rice College Westport or St. Colman’s Claremorris.
The Junior team have also have gone unbeaten recording wins over Roscommon CBS, St. Jarlath’s Tuam, St. Gerald’s Castlebar and Rice College so far. They have qualified for the league final with a game to spare with St. Colmans Claremorris to play in the last match. There opponents not yet known either.
This has been a very impressive league campaign for both outfits and the South Sligo School is out to win its elusive first A title this year. With the Senior team been beaten in the league and championship finals last year, St. Attracta’s Community School are on a mission this year.
