The electoral register closing date is coming up and a Tubbercurry Councillor is urging all people to make sure they are registered.
Cathaoirleach of the Tubbercurry-Ballymote municipal district, Dara Mulvey, says that using your vote regardless of who you vote for is very important.
Applications forms for inclusion on the electoral register, special voters list and postal voters list can be found in all local authority offices, libraries and post offices.
The closing date to register is next Friday, November 25th.
The Fine Gael councillor told Ocean FM that a lot of young people sometimes find themselves unable to vote.
