Permission being sought from Council for new indoor play centre in West Sligo

There are plans in place for a new indoor play centre in the West of Sligo.

Easkey Community Council plan to build the new play center next to an existing caravan and camping park in the village.

The play center will cater for children of all ages and will be accessible for those with disabilities.

The facility will cost in the region of 200 thousand euro and the council intend to fundraise for the project in the near future.

A planning application has also been submitted to Sligo County Council for an extension to the caravan and camping park.

It is hoped that in the next few years work can be done to expand on the existing 26 stands for mobiles and camper vans.

Margaret Conlon is the chairperson of Easkey Community Council and she told Ocean FM what the new play center will consist of.
